Located in the Ribatejo, this rural house in the purest tradition and way of being Portuguese, the “Casa da Avó Genoveva” (Nana Genoveva’s Home) dates back to the 17th Century. It is named after Genoveva Antunes Duarte, great-grandmother of the current owner, who made this house into a lively meeting point of generations of friends and family. It is a house full of stories and memories, very accustomed to receive and entertaining.
Nana Genoveva’s Home has extensive gardens, with many trees and flowers and an orchard area, where guests can walk or ride a bike (the house has bicycles you can borrow). To one side of the garden, alongside an old tennis court, is the pool (perfect for cooling off in the summer). The pool has a large lawn area and ample areas of sun and shade.
A private parking area is available and free to guests.
In addition to the rooms and apartments for rent, guests can enjoy other inside spaces, decorated with the family’s antique furniture: two living rooms, a reading room and a library with a snooker table. There is free Wi-fi.
Pets are also welcome at Nana Genoveva’s Home (please call in advance).
